Our sister company in the USA celebrates their 40th Birthday!

In 1971, the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enacted job safety legislation requiring back-up warning alarms on all vehicles that operated off public roads. Recognizing the business opportunity created by the requirement, Carl Peterson established ECCO in 1972 and began marketing a limited line of back-up alarms.
 
Today ECCO offers one of the most comprehensive lines of commercial vehicle warning equipment in the world, has facilities on three continents, more than 500 employees and 1000's of customers, including many of the most prominent vehicle manufacturers.

Our Reflex 5580 minibar has exceeded expecations in terms of popularity & sold extremely well. We're happy about this of course, but it has meant some lower stocks than we would have wanted!

The great news is - it's back in stock, in good numbers and all variants, perfect for winter upgrades.

We've recently welcomed a new addition to the team here in Leeds, Steve Thompson has joined us as Business Development Director to lead the sales team for the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The product team have added an amazing new worklamp to our recently revised range.  While the range was already well specced and comprehensive, we always innovate and adopt new technology - especially in our specialist field of LEDs.

As a result of our latest efforts, the new worklamp boasts a 3000 lumen light output to safely illuminate the most difficult of on or off-road tasks, as the nights draw in and darkness falls ever earlier over winter.

ECCO Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Marshall as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Group from January, 1 2010. Taking over the role of CEO from Ed Zimmer, who retired in October this year, Chris will be moving out to the Group’s headquarters in Boise, Idaho in the near future. Chris Marshall explained, “This is a very exciting move for both myself and my family...and I’m delighted that I have been given this opportunity."

Ed Zimmer, CEO of ECCO Group has announced his decision to retire so that he can spend more time with his family. The guiding hand of ECCO Group since 1985, Ed has been synonymous with the Group and his decision will truly mark the end of an era.
